WHO WE ARE

Australian TFP is an independent, non-partisan civil association. We defend traditional values, the institution of the family, and the right to private property and free enterprise.

We hold that the many crises shaking the modern world are not a collection of random, unconnected events. They are facets of one great crisis, caused by the decline of morality and the loss of spiritual values.

Our answer draws on Christian social and economic thought. It is of interest to those who are not Christians as well, because tradition, the family and private property are written in the human heart and benefit the whole of society.

WHAT WE WANT

We want a society built on the values that have always sustained civilisation: good traditions handed on from one generation to the next, families free to raise their children according to their beliefs, and property secure enough to give a household real independence.

We defend these three because they are necessary for the good ordering of society and the wellbeing of individuals. They are the foundation stones of civilisation, and where they are weakened, what rests on them gives way.

WHAT WE DO

Australian TFP educates the public on the importance of good traditions, the institution of the family, and the right to private property. We run targeted campaigns on specific issues around these values.

We publish in print and online, give lectures, and run direct mail campaigns, petitions and lobbying events.

We also take our message onto the street. Our young volunteers hand out flyers and speak with passers-by about the burning issues of the day. The red capes our volunteers wear, and our ruby-red standard with its golden lion, are the hallmark of our street campaigns. They add panache to the occasion and prompt passers-by to ask what we stand for and take a flyer.

OUR LOGO: THE LION RAMPANT

TFP’s lion calls to mind courage, strength and honour. On its breast is a red cross, representing self-sacrifice and the spiritual values that inspire our movement. The lion stands on a red field, red being the colour of life and combativeness. The tall mast that carries our standard is topped by a golden fleur-de-lis, representing the nobility of our ideals.
